City SC Utah – Metro

Mission Statement. City SC Utah – Metro is a competitive youth soccer club, focused on the development of players for high level competition. City SC Utah – Metro coaches and staff will help foster young players’ physical, mental and social growth so they can reach their potential in life through their participation in soccer. Our club will provide quality staff, facilities, environment and curriculum to give players the tools to be successful at the local, state, regional and national level. We provide a soccer education that gives our players opportunities to earn an athletic scholarship and gain admission to colleges.

We are founded on the principle, that every child can – and should have an opportunity to learn to play soccer. We have incredibly talented coaches that help to bring out the best in every child they train! At City SC Utah, we work on enabling the player to become the best that they can be! City SC Utah is known throughout Utah, as THE CLUB – which will develop the player first, giving them a technical and tactical knowledge base for future play. Our teams play in the UYSA State run leagues in the Fall and Spring, USYS Regional Leagues like the Yellowstone Premier League, the Junior Premier League (JPL), and UYSA National Cup competitions.

Many of the players who have been developed by the City SC Utah staff, have been able to achieve collegiate scholarships at many of the nation’s best schools including: Harvard, Brown, Stanford, The Citadel, the US Air Force Academy, Idaho State, Utah State, Oregon State, St. Mary’s, the University of Utah, BYU, Baker, and many more!

Location: City SC Utah – Metro is located in the Metropolitan geographic area in the heart of Salt Lake City. We train and play home matches at Rowland Hall Steiner Complex and Sunnyside Park. Our fields are located near the University of Utah, Westminster University, and all of the local Salt Lake City and Granite School District elementary, middle and high schools!

METRO TRYOUTS

• Location: Rowland Hall Steiner Fields (1481 Sunnyside Ave S, Salt Lake City, UT 84105)
• TRYOUT REGISTRATION MUST BE COMPLETED ONLINE,  PRIOR TO CHECK-IN
• Tryout cost is $20 per player (no refunds)
• Arrive 30-40 minutes early the first day of tryouts, for check-in.
• Tryout t-shirts will be provided and MUST be worn each day of tryouts
• ONLY players and USA staff are allowed on the fields during tryouts.
• Each player must wear proper soccer attire (shorts, shin guards, cleats, etc.)
• Each player must bring a properly inflated ball (w/name on it) and plenty of water to drink
• Parents, please stay nearby, in the event of bad weather.
