While City SC Utah understands some circumstances may necessitate a player leaving a team, such as an unexpected family move. City SC Utah requires all players to honor their commitment to their CSCU team and their teammates for the entire seasonal year. In this manner we seek to ensure the viability of a team for other players who depend on the commitment of all players to the team for their soccer opportunities. Participation on other teams or in other leagues. Academies or clubs require written permission from a City SC Utah Director of Coaching.

City SC Volunteer Requirements

As a 501c3 non profit organization City SC Utah is dependent on parent volunteers and fundraising events to offset program operating expenses, keep registration fees down and to boost our financial aid fund to ensure that finances are not a barrier to participation in the program. Fundraising events are the club’s only source of income outside of program registration fees. We rely heavily on funds generated through the Utah Premier Cup to keep our programs running. We also rely on help for Bubble setup and take down, Tryouts, National Events, Camps etc. Volunteer support is essential to running these events.

Required Hours

Each City SC family is required to complete a minimum of 5 hours of volunteer service

The requirement is 5 hours per FAMILY, regardless of how many players you have in the competitive programs

Minimum age requirement to volunteer is 16 without adult supervision

In the event that we have adequate volunteer support for the Utah Premier Cup and Bubble setup and takedown, additional volunteer opportunities may be made available at other fundraising events or club needs.

Signing Up for Shifts

Volunteer schedules will be distributed by the club prior to each event. Each family will be responsible for signing up for a shift at that time.

Volunteer Hours Buy-Out Option

If your family prefers not to volunteer, you may pay a one-time fee of $200 per player at registration. The buyout fee will be used to cover the cost of staffing events in the absence of volunteers. If you did not opt out at the time of registration and find you are unable to fulfill your volunteer hours, you may pay anytime by calling our office at: (801) 906-3161

Financial Assistance Families

If your family is receiving financial assistance from the club, you will be required to volunteer a minimum of 15 hours per family.
